How we use this information

We collect data in order to deliver on and improve the award and to enable future communications with our fan base and professional contacts.

Our data and information use falls under three main areas of the GDPR act as follows:

All of our business to consumer marketing activity is conducted after explicit consent has been given, for example ticking a box on an information form (commonly known as an opt-in) agreeing to receive future communications from us, and confirming the methods of communication you agree to.

We will not share customer data with any third parties without securing additional consent.

Digital communications such as our email newsletter also contain the option to unsubscribe manually at any point, or we can be contacted to update your records with us.

Upon purchasing something from us such as event ticket we enter into a customer and supplier relationship whereby we may use your data to contact you or otherwise improve the service we offer.

Legitimate Interests

The majority of our consumer marketing and communications activity is covered by the Consent area listed above, however we may also deploy data for the legitimate promotion of the award in business-to-business areas e.g. during the award’s Call For Submissions period.
