🧻 The Bad Writing Award is administered by xxx Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx, a non-profit organisation with the mission of promoting both excellence in and the extension of science fiction.
Over the past few years, Xxxxxxxx has partnered with institutions like Xxx Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx and The Xxxx Xxxxxxx, independent publishers Xxxxx Xxxxx, and Xxxxx xx Xxxxxxx to achieve these goals, with many more collaborations planned for the future.

Gerard Xxxxxx - Director and Chair
Gerard Xxxxxx is the founder and current Director of 🧻 The Bad Writing Award and Chair of the Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx, the award's governing organisation.
Before joining 🧻 The Bad Writing Award, his first serious foray into SF&F culture was as a reviewer covering SF-tinged 'experimental' theatre, before going on to edit Matrix, the news and media magazine of the British Science Fiction Association.
Alongside his award duties, he works as a marketing and communications specialist, freelance consultant and occasional journalist.

Andrew M. Butler - Director
Andrew M. Butler is a British academic who teaches film, media and cultural studies at Canterbury Christ Church University. He is a former editor of the BSFA’s magazine Vector: The Critical Journal of the British Science Fiction Association and was membership secretary of the Science Fiction Foundation. A judge on the juries that gave the award to The Sparrow and Calcutta Chromosome, he is currently the non-voting chair of judges.
